Classic Antarctica Air-Cruise

Classic Antarctica Air-Cruise
Classic Antarctica is the most popular itinerary for Antarctica Expeditions. After reaching Antarctica by air, you will travel along the west coast of Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands. Enjoy the stunning sights of icebergs and fjords laden with ice, while also meeting the wildlife that lives on the White Continent, such as penguins. All expedition ships offer the Classic Antarctica Air-Cruise.

Day by day

Day 1 : Chile: Punta Arenas

The staff will welcome you warmly when you arrive in Punta Arenas by 2 pm. In the afternoon, after being transferred to your hotel you will be required to attend a briefing in Explorers House. The session will provide you with important information regarding your Antarctic air cruise and outline essential guidelines. The day will be concluded with a welcoming dinner where you'll have the opportunity to mingle and meet other adventurers while enjoying a regional cuisine.

Day 2 : South Shetland Islands: King George Island

As you step off the plane at King George Island, you are greeted by the pure air of Antarctica. You will walk for 2 km (1.25 miles) past Chile's Frei Station as well as Russia's Bellingshausen Station before reaching the beach. You'll then board a Zodiac to take you on an exclusive Antarctic expedition.
